Q: Do you have to spray the inside of my home every month?
A: After the initial service, which includes the full interior and exterior of the home being treated, the interior typically doesn’t need to be treated again unless activity is present. The interior is always included if the customer wishes to have it done, however the exterior barrier is typically all that is needed to maintain a pest free home. Our goal is to stop bugs long before they ever get inside the home.
Q: Do I have to leave the property when you service my home?
A: This is dependent upon the type of service being done at your residence. For general pest control and most other services you will not have to leave your home, with an exception being made during a German Roach or Bed Bug flush out where we find the need to use fogging machines. Expecting mothers, infants under the age of 1 and any infirmed/ill should leave the house as a precaution until the product has dried.
Q: Do I have to sign a contract for pest control services in my home or business?
A: We don’t require any long term contracts, but we ask that you try us for 12 months. Our goal is to earn your business for life. After the initial 12 months is complete we will continue service until further notified. We are confident if you give Moxie a try you will be a customer forever!

Q: When you come to spray my house how long will it take?
A: It depends on the type of pest and many other factors. A routine initial service for ants, for example, will often take less than an hour, and still control the problem for several months. Your technician will recommend things you can do to reduce pest pressure around your home. Rodent problems may require several service visits and cultural control measures as well.
Q: What if I touch an area that has been sprayed?
A: You should avoid any treated areas until dry. That is the minimum precaution for virtually all pesticides. If you accidentally touch a moist deposit or are otherwise exposed to a pesticide, wash the exposed skin with soap and water. Consult the specific pesticide label for any further recommendations. Our service invoice and your technician will have further instructions for the specific products applied.
Q: How should I prepare for a pest treatment?
A: We’ll let you know when you make a booking since every case is different. However you may be asked to do a few things, depending on whether we’re working inside or outside or both.
If we’re working inside it’s wise to, before we arrive:
- move small articles off the ground, like clothing, magazines and toys
- clear all food items from bench and table tops
- provide good access along skirtings
- cover fish tanks and take your pets away for a few hours.
If we’re working outside, you may need to:
- move piles of wood stacked up against the walls of the house
- mow the lawn
- If a spider treatment don’t remove the cobwebs
- remove stored goods from the subfloor.
Note: If we’re applying a spider treatment don’t remove cobwebs before we arrive. We tackle spiders at this source and need to know where the cobwebs are.
Also, if you are not home, please just leave the gates unlocked and the pets put inside so we can access the whole property.
Q: What if you’re at my home to treat one type of pest and you spot another?
A: When we inspect the property we are not only looking for specific target pests that are mentioned by the customer, we are proactively looking for any pests that the customer may not be aware of. Since we don’t up sell or charge for additional services we will treat other pests that are spotted before they become a nuisance. We are always on the lookout to solve pest problems and keep you property protected.
